You are probably one of the following individuals:
 |
a friend, |
 |
a family member, |
 |
a student at either South
Fayette or the University
of Pittsburgh, |
 |
someone who accidentally stumbled across my
site (one of the many David
Taylor sites out there ), or |
 |
a crazed individual longing to live your life
through the events of other people by reading about and looking
at images about what goes on in their life. (If this describes
you, my e-mail address is pittsburgh@fbi.gov --
be sure to include that you are a nut, that you are stalking
me, your name, and address -- someone will be by to get you
soon.) |

I am the Director of Information Technology at South
Fayette Township School District. I handle many technology-related
initiatives with the district including our InteGrade Pro and parentCONNECTxp
grading system. I am the main contact concerning the district's website.
I am also a MultiMedia Teacher. The classes I teach deal mainly with
motion and still digital imaging and non-linear editing. The students
I teach work on most of the special media projects that are completed
for the administration, staff, and students of South Fayette Township
School District.

I teach a class at the University of Pittsburgh called Technology
Workshop for Mathematics Teachers. The class is designed for
mathematics student teachers and interns. The class is taught in
the fall semester each school year. There are many aspects to this
class but the main idea is how to integrate technology into the
mathematics classroom. To quote the syllabus (so what if I wrote
it ), "This
course is designed to give prospective and current mathematics
teachers the necessary information upon which to make curricular,
instructional, and assessment decisions involving technology in
the classroom."
